Don’t go at night unless they fix the interior lighting. We went at 5 p.m., hoping to see the city lit up at night. Unfortunately, unless we had our noses pressed against the glass, the only thing we saw lit up was the interior of the building. The interior lights needed to be dimmed. I can understand needing more illumination by the barista/bar area and gift shop, but the entire floor was lit up. This meant no one could see anything of the view, which is the entire point of making the trip up. We managed to get a few nice photos avoiding the interior glare, but certainly not many, and certainly none with us and the background. I've been to many other high rises during nighttime, and they all dim the interior lights so visitors can actually see out. That "Sky View" didn't, rendered the whole trip practically worthless.

My main issue was with the interior lights, which I detailed previously. However, I also found the process of food and drink, as well as the reserved tables, frustrating. I bought the package where you get to cut the line, get a reserved table, and get $10 vouchers for food/drink/gift shop. I knew from my purchase that I was supposed to have a reserved table. However, I didn't know how to get to our table. We didn't have an assigned table number, so I had to ask the staff. They asked us what kind of table we wanted, then asked a couple who was already seated to leave so we could sit. The whole thing didn't seem particularly organized. Also, the window seat wasn't much worth it, since again, we could barely see outside.

For what it's worth, the drinks also weren't great. Which isn't surprising, as I'm sure the employees probably aren't really bartenders (that's not a knock on them, as they were friendly and helpful). I saw another reviewer talk about their hope to get cocktails in a fun environment before going out to dinner, which was also our plan. I do not recommend that. This isn’t a classy, chic set up for drinks in the city (though the prices at $15 a drink suggest otherwise; I know, marked up for the high rise). And it’s totally fine that it’s not. But I’d rather they just not sell drinks and stick to the barista and snacks routine.

I loved the experienced. The day I went it was pretty empty so we enjoyed most of the view just for us. We got the tickets all inclusive so we had a table at the window reserved for us, we ordered lunch and had a good time. The staff is very friendly. I would recommend more options in the menu and serve the drinks on glasses. I ordered a mimosa and it came in a plastic cup and I payed $12 for it. But the whole experience worth it!

A lovely view at twilight which would have been even more breathtaking without the thick fog. 360 view around seattle with a lot of land marks clearly visible. The staged photos and sale pitch are a bit much but otherwise it is worth it if you want a great view of the city.

We visited the sky view observatory at 530pm on Saturday December 18th. I was a little disappointed at first because I thought it would be more lively, a fun place to get cocktails before dinner. It was essentially dead. We were just a handful of people there. With that being said, we had the place basically to ourselves for great views and the bartender and staff were very friendly. Not what I expected but we enjoyed a great view and great conversation.

Last minute decided to go to the Sky View Observatory as they had openings left at sunset. It was not busy at all. The views were great despite it being a little cloudy when the sun was going down. The views when it was dark with the city lit up was amazing. We decided not to do the Space Needle after being up higher and having cheaper tickets.

Don’t buy your tickets on Groupon, I purchased the tickets but wasn’t aware they were closed and then Groupon refused to give me a refund.

My 20's daughter and I both thoroughly enjoyed the Sky View Observatory! We went before sunset so that we were able to view the Seattle area during daylight, sunset and night-time, which worked out great. There was plenty of time to take pictures, roam the halls reading the history displays, have a drink, relax and then roam again. Too bad that the mountains weren't out due to haze from the fires, but it was still great. Hopefully we'll be back another time and if so we will definitely go again.

We were celebrating my husband's birthday after a cruise and only had a small amount of time before heading to the airport. Mary and the other employees made us feel special with our all-inclusive visit. We had a reserved table by by window, used our included $10 gift vouchers towards a light lunch( The Edgar and spinach wrap were both great) and Mary even made a special dessert complete with a card for us for his birthday. The views of Seattle were amazing and we could even see the cruise ship we had just been on in the distance. It was the perfect way to end a fabulous week and we are so glad we chose to "see" Seattle via the Skyview Observatory.

My husband and I chose Seattle as our anniversary destination. Seattle is known for its spectacular views. The Sky View Observatory was very nice. We had excellent encounters with Mary, Cari and Rob during our visit. The 3 of them made us feel like family. We selected the All Inclusive package and have no regrets. Perfect place to see the city of Seattle and watch the sunset.
