My fiancé lived in Seattle for nearly two decades. She loves this beach and brought me to it on our first visit here. The water is cold and the sandy beach small, but the views are nice. You can even see cruises ships leaving their docks.

What is it about the beautiful Alki Point Beach! It's just such a different vantage point looking across the Sound back towards Seattle. Worth the trip and remember to walk the beach!

Apart from being quaint and relaxing, Alki Beach offers stunning views and fantastic little eateries/drinkeries! Seals and porpoises have accompanied me on my passages, and I have heard (but not seen) whales.

You have to either take a bus or water taxi to get there from downtown. Or if you have/rent a car then it is easily drive-able. But if you are a tourist, I recommend going out of the way to visit this West Seattle beach. It is super beautiful, even during the winter (dress warm though!). And there are lots... More

This was one of my favorite places! So cute! Super small town vibes with plenty to enjoy from beach volleyball, water sport activities and rentals, great food! We rented bike and enjoyed views!

This is the area i would want to live if I was moving to Seattle. A great neighborhood, good restaurants, beaches and parks. I am really talking about the whole West area....you will see. Parking is a problem at times.

This is an excellent place to spend with family. On a clear day this beach presents lovely views of the sea and mountains. Easily approachable with lots of food options. One can spend around 2-3 hours here.

From Alki you will see the ferries come in and out of the terminal and the seattle skyline. Especially lovely at night.

Any season is great for a trip to Ali beach! Ahhh sandy beach, salt air and passing boats. Look for Statue of Liberty, she is an icon even here. Weekends are crowded, lots of activities and unbelievable people watching. Hungry? Well look along water front and you have quite a few choices, including Starbucks of course. Bus lines stop frequently,... More

Coming from the Arizona desert we need a place to escape in July and August and Alki Beach is one of our favorite spots. Great casual vibe easy walking to the water taxi to go downtown and brunch at Salty's is legendary.
