About
Get a postcard view of downtown Seattle and Elliott Bay against the backdrop of snow-capped Mount Rainier from this beautiful terraced park. You'll also get spectacular views of the Space Needle, a 605-foot-tall observation tower. Take pictures and lounge or have a picnic on the lawn. The best time to visit is during sunrise, or at night to admire the buildings and ferries at the bay glow with lights. Though located in the quiet Queen Anne neighborhood, Kerry Park is less than a mile away from Seattle Center, where you can visit other landmarks like the Museum of Pop Culture. – Tripadvisor

The best Seattle view and for free
There are several Seattle panorama viewing spots all around the city: from the Space Needle, from Bainbridge ferry, tallest Columbia Center,...and this one. And, this one at Kerry park is the only free one. Moreover, parking around is also free so do come and enjoy.

    Great views!
Small park with on-street parking. I went on a Monday at 4:30pm in June and the sun was far enough west that it allowed for great afternoon pictures. There was also available parking then as well.

If a person wants to find the best views of Seattle, this place is probably the perfect location.
This park was smaller and a person could descend some stairs into a neighborhood where there was a playground. I parked for free on the nearby streets, and this park was free. I got great views of Seattle‘s Downtown skyscrapers and of the nearby waterways. Mount Rainier was even cooperative enough to be within my photograph (it was not a cloud). I spent about five (5) minutes here, and it was crowded.

    Best place in Seattle skyline
Totally free to visit this park. This place is amazing to see the Seattle skyline, at night, it was even more beautiful when the city lit up. The Mount Rainier was unfortunately veiled by heavy clouds. Very easy to drive there, free to park along road. There is also a playground underneath, so it's perfect for family as well

    Gorgeous view!
We decided to walk from the Space Needle to Kerry Park because we heard that the views there were amazing. First off, the walk is NOT easy! It is uphill most of the way and it took us about 25 minutes to walk there. However, the views were SO worth it! Such a beautiful view and we were lucky enough to have a clear day and we were able to see Mt. Ranier in the distance. Although it was tough to get there, we would recommend this view for anyone visiting Seattle!

    Best View in Seattle
Kerry Park is located in a neighborhood of beautiful homes so be sure to take your time getting to Kerry Park. Parking can be an issue and be nice to the neighbors who put up with a lot of extra traffic and stay out of their driveways. The park itself is not large but the views are endless. You look out at downtown Seattle and the Seattle Center. Looking more west is Puget Sound and some of the western islands. Be friendly and offer to take a picture of the couple next to you so that they get at least one nice picture of them together in Seattle.

It’s about a 30 minute walk from the Space Needle to Kerry Park. The park is up a steep hill in the Queen Anne neighborhood, but it is well worth it. It is not much of a park - just a small urban park. People come here because it is a great viewpoint. You can see the the Seattle skyline, with the Space Needle in the center. You can see the Puget Sound, with the ferries coming and going and you can see the working port and over to West Seattle. On a clear day the view is even better because you can see Mount Rainier but usually Seattle will have clouds that obscure Mount Rainier in the distance. The sun sets to the right of this view and if you are lucky you can catch a spectacular sunset. I got there around one hour before sunset and this was also great for photos because the light is soft. The viewpoint is popular with selfie takers and Instagrammers because you can get a good picture of yourself with the city behind. There are not a lot of amenities like food around. Walk back down the hill for amenities.

I admit I take Kerry Park for granted because I live close to the park. I drive by the park almost everyday. There are always people at the park no matter what time of the day you drive by the park. The park is a popular place for marriage proposals and wedding party pictures. Without question, Kerry Park offers the best views of Seattle in the entire city. Thus, whether it is your first date or your 75th wedding anniversary, Kerry Park is a must visit.

My sister Cathy and I were out in Washington State visiting some family members in September and we decided to visit Kerry Park because it was a beautiful sunny afternoon. The view from this spot in Queen Anne Hill was spectacular. We could see the city of Seattle including the iconic Space Needle. Elliot Bay was visible with a few sailboats on the water. Mt. Rainier was in full view and was so majestic. Surprisingly for Tuesday afternoon, September 29 when we visited, it was not crowded at all and parking was easy to find thankfully.

This was the smallest park I had ever seen, but I doubt there are better views than from this location. If you go early morning, you have the place all to yourself except for a few neighbors walking their dogs. Go at sunset and you’ll be jockeying for position with everyone else who also thought it would be a good idea to visit at that time. Kerry Park is a must for first-time visitors!

This park - set in the Queen Anne- Neighborhood - is a great spot for views of the Seattle skyline. Walk around the neighborhood and head over to the park before sunset. You won’t be alone but if you get there early enough you can get a seat on the ledge and watch the sunset.

This overlook is in a gorgeous neighborhood of older homes. We went on a lovely night, and there were a couple hundred people there, many with "serious" cameras. Watching the sunset reflected on the buildings of downtown Seattle is amazing.

Coming from a couple who have some great Parks and outdoor attraction on our doorstep, we wouldn't really call Kerry Park the greatest of 'parks'. It is, however, a fantastic viewpoint for the Seattle skyline and is always filled with friendly folk. There is a small playpark, trail and grass area however its on a steep hill so we would recommend driving to the top for the viewpoint.

Our city bus tour stopped here for about 15 minutes to take in the view and allow us to take photos. This is the postcard perfect city skyline spot.

While other people were also taking their selfies we were able to quickly get a prime spot without any randoms in the background.

The area was overall clean and well maintained.

It was cloudy when we went up the Space Needle, so we stopped at Kerry Park hoping for a better view since the sky had cleared. It was perfect. Rainier floated there like a Bob Ross painting with the city below, the water to the right and the Space Needle to the left. There is not much else to the park besides the view, and parking is at a premium, especially if a tour bus takes up a lot of spaces.

As advertised, Kerry Park was a super spot for a photo of the skyline. It's worth the trip and it's in a really cool neighborhood Queen Anne. It's the kind of thing, though, that you go, take a few pictures, and leave after five minutes. I will say, after I did it, I felt like I did Seattle.
