Our favorite tour in all of Alaska! Chase was an excellent guide, as well as a top notch photographer! The scooters were a blast to ride through beautiful Alaska, so many great sights. Do not fear the 🛴, easy ride for all ages and levels!
We chose this trip because we really wanted to see some of the Klondike and experience time with the sled dogs and their puppies. We also wanted to experience riding with the dogs knowing it would be on a cart of some kind, as there...More
On our recent cruise to Alaska we did the scooter tour and had an absolute blast. Mikey was our guide and he took us to so many cool places off the beaten path that we never would have known about. The scooters are easy to...More
We booked this a couple weeks before our arrival in Skagway based on the reviews and it did NOT disappoint! I had to make a couple tweaks to our booking and Kelsey and Chris both were helpful and made the changes/answered our questions quickly. When...More

Yes drivers license is required. I am almost 67 and my husband is 67 and neither of us have ever ridden a scooter or moped or motorcycle. Let John take you to a side street (no traffic) and he will give you excellent instructions and let you try it out. I did not have any problem at all and it was great fun. I think you will be fine. John will tell you to use the right hand for the throttle and only the left hand, back wheel, for the brake.
Kelly, no you don't need a special license, and I had never even ridden a motorcycle before! You can go to Dyea (11 miles) or to the cemetery (2 miles r/t) or up to Jewel Gardens. You can't go up the Klondike Highway past... More
Kelly, no you don't need a special license, and I had never even ridden a motorcycle before! You can go to Dyea (11 miles) or to the cemetery (2 miles r/t) or up to Jewel Gardens. You can't go up the Klondike Highway past the turnoff to Dyea though. One the Dyea Highway, at about mile 2 there is a great overlook of the town. Since you are charged by the hour, the experience is really riding around. If you want to go up the Klondike Highway I would suggest one of the smaller tour companies such as Beyond Skagway Tours (Becky and friends), Dyea Dave's tours (Dave), Skagway Private Tours (Sherry) or Elements of Alaska tours (Max). I would avoid Southeast Tours or the Green Jeep tours.
