So listen to the rangers, who know more than your social media friends on what to expect, plan and prepare for. Pay attention during orientation because they tell you important stuff, like how to find unsilty water at the campgrounds. Even if you’re not hiking,...More

The park is free and provides free tours. We attended one of ranger led tour, it was great. We walked through the downtown and stopped at several buildings. The ranger talked about history of the buildings and this town, it was informative and educational.

Skagway and the area around it offers plenty to see and do. The preservation of the buildings have stood the test of time and really offer a nice perspective of what is must've been like to live there.

The National Parks have preserved lots of buildings around town. Well worth a visit but the film is the same as the one in Seattle. Book early for entry to houses and for the walking tour.
