This is a unique building that is now used as a visitor's center. It was built in 1899 and used as the headquarters of a fraternal organization. Members covered the exterior with over 8,800 pieces of driftwood.

You get a flavor of the gold rush and see how a collection of drift wood can be used to create a place of interest and natural beauty.

It is now a visitors center on the main drag. Unique in style from all other buildings in this historic town. Not my first visit but I had to go in it.

Now a convention and visitors bureau. Had lots of information about the area. The facade is made of 9,000 pieces of driftwood collected from beaches in Skagway Bay. Right in the middle of town.

Skagway is not a big town, so you won’t miss this unique building located on the Main Street close to the famous Red Onion saloon. The facade is made of driftwood giving it a one-Off look and feel. It’s a hugely popular place for a...More
