This battlefield is a popular spot for walkers, joggers, pet owners...actually a nice place for a date. I went into the gift shop and saw some of the movie...hence the title...an ugly chapter of the Civil War. Focus on current time...a great place to relax and to get healthy.

Great for friends, visitors and enjoying a morning run. Can't beat the scenery and challenge of the mountain.

Kennesaw mountain has so many trails, for easy, moderate, extreme hiking. It's beautiful all year to hiking.

The museum is worth the time to walk through and watch the video. Nice way to relive the history that was made at this place. Make sure to hike up the mountain for a nice view of the surrounding area. The path is well taken care of but a little steep so not for those really out of shape. With... More

Park at the Burnt Hickory lot and take the Pigeon Hill Trail. Nice track going up to Little Kennesaw, then a small dip and up to Kennesaw Mountain. This is specially attractive when spring starts as all kind kinds of fresh scents fill the air.

Oh my gosh....what a wonderful place to live by. You have hiking, bike riding, laying in the pastures watching the clouds go by...there is SO much to do on Kennesaw Mountain and to see at the Battlefield. If you haven't been I so encourage you to visit.

This is a nice little mountain park with plenty of trails and history. It was the site of one of the few battles Jackson lost on his march to the sea, and it has a little museum, interesting books and gimcracks for sale.

Our second visit to the Battlefield, we were lucky as we drove in to the smallish parking lot someone was pulling out. There is another lot about 400yds up the road, but no footpath you have to walk on the road edge. I suffer from arthritis in my knees but do not qualify for diabled badge - it would have... More

My teenage boys and I visited Kennesaw Mtn. with my sister, her boyfriend and their dogs. We took the guided Mtn. tour with the park ranger. The hike up the mountain was great exercise. However, it could be difficult for some people. The park ranger warned everyone on the difficulty before starting the tour. At each stop, she waited for... More
