We had booked a small group tour of 15 people. It was a great surprise when our group consisted of the 3 people in our party and the captain, Jim. He always pointed out wildlife and stopped to make sure we got pictures of it....More

We booked a whale-watching trip as a package with our accommodation (Dairy Hill Lodging, same owners). They used a smallish boat (around 16 people) which meant we could get close to the action. And the friendly crew (Tanya and Clay) seemed eager to show us...More

We spent over 8 hours on a small(ish) boat that was purposefully not overcrowded. I love that they don't cram the boats and limit it to twelve people. The captain (Steve) and crew (Tammy) were knowledgeable, patient, and laid back. We had great weather and...More

This was a fantastic day. Tanya Is a skilled captain and an amazing spotter. Clay is a natural teacher and infectiously enthusiastic about this beautiful area and its wildlife. We saw incredible wildlife (breaching humpback, orca hunting and catching prey, a fin whale, sea otters,...More

We chose Saltwater Lodge for a small group day long whale watching tour from Seward over the plethora of much larger boats and weren't disappointed. Tanya and Clay made it a really special day, they knew where to look for the various wild life and...More

I cannot say enough about this small boat and its wonderful crew of Tanya and Tammy. The boat was small and this was a huge advantage in getting close to wildlife. The crew were well informed and wonderful in spotting wildlife and keeping us busy....More

We chose this trip because of its small size. It was the beat! Tanya and Tammy were capable, knowledgeable, and entertaining. We spent time at each spot of interest and saw eagles, humpback whales, Stellar sea lions, sea otters, puffins, kittiwakes, and more. The boat...More

We went on the tour at the end of July and saw 5 whales. Saw much other wildlife as well. This is truly the BEST tour company. Ask for Leif as your captain and Sam as the first mate. They were great.
