Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The castle really worth to visit. There are six visiting routes, I would recommend the route A, B and, if you have children, the so called child route. For those of you, who are interested in middle ages diplomacy, I would recommend to visit the castle museum.

The town has a really beautiful square which leads to the entrance to this amazing castle, the third largest in the country.
We took a tour of the inside of the castle which traces the lineage of the noble family who lived here.
Recommended.

We visited tour A. Our guide was not the most competent. It was boring litning of dates and persons. Interior of castle is not so interesting as Hluboka or Rožmberk castle. I suggest to offer avdio guides in different languages.

My niece and I took the 50 minute A route guided tour, an introductory tour of the Adamovo staveni renaissance chateau. We were escorted through a good number of richly furnished rooms by an extremly knowledgable young lady who answered all questions from a history buff visitor present in our group. The tour includes a visit to the beautiful music pavilion. No photography was allowed except for the music pavilion.

Jindrichuv Hradec is a small town in the southern part of the Czech Republic, and has two museums worth visiting. One is the Castle Museum which houses the largest (according to the Guinness Book of World Records) mechanical Christmas manger scenes, and an interesting aviation room depicting an air battle that took place over the region in WWII. The other is the Gobelin Tapestry Museum, practically right next door, which is both a workshop and display for fine tapestries. Both worth a visit.

We stayed in a nearby guest house steps from the main entrance walkway so we wandered up and into the grounds. Amazingly, the grounds are open to the public to wander around which we did. There were great views of parts of the castle itself as well as great views of the town. We were there outside regular hours but tours of portions indoors are conducted as well, though we understand you have to arrange tours in English in advance.

This small city is a peaceful place to walk around. There are many examples of unusual architecture, intricate ironwork gates, water, flowers,,,the castle complex is is quite a bit more level than C.Krumlov or the Prague castle, so that might make it more attractive to some visitors. The round chapel is often used for weddings, so you might even catch a glimpse of one of those!

During our travels we visited a lot of castles and were not truly expecting much. We went for the historic tour through the oldest part as we wanted not to go with the main crowd. It was just us and a few german guys on the tour and as they were not very interested, the guide focused mainly on us. So we were kind of lucky because the guide was absolutely brilliant. He left out all those boring numbers and started to put things into perspective, connect people with the castle and truly painted a picture of the whole story around the castle. We never learned so much in one hour.

The Jindrichuv Hradec castle grounds are lovely for a quiet stroll or to sit down by the Rondel fountain courtyard and have a rest.
The castle was closed on the Monday we visited but we still managed to walk around the castle grounds, the garden and around the Rondel. It was very quiet and lovely to relax and have a nice walk.
