We went on a Tuesday night. It was less crowded than the other reviewers have described. We had a fantastic time. The band was good. The hostess and dancers were phenomenally talented, especially the fire artist. The food was delicious and plentiful. The flower bracelets...More

Over the years, we have been to several luaus on the different islands with family and friends. On this occasion we brought two friends who had never been to the islands; we felt that although some of the luaus were a bit on the touristy,...More

I've been to other luaus before and this one was not that great. It was pretty cheesy, though the dancers were nice. The wait to get in was really long especially if you wanted "good seats", and there was no place to sit if you...More

We went to a luau at Royal Kona Resort. Hmmm, I don't want to offend regarding a super cool cultural event but.... We paid more to have good seats and it was a darn good thing because the place was packed and people must have...More

We’ve gone to a few luaus on the big island and, unfortunately, this was our least-liked one. Don’t get me wrong, the show was great, the musicians were entertaining and the dancers were top-notch. The problems is, they pack way too many people in that...More

The show was fantastic and the food was very good. The setting was awesome next to the ocean where the waves crash into the rocks. Great view of the sunset. They say they were serving 500 people. We got there at 4:30 and the line...More

It was a great show. The performers really seemed to enjoy themselves. What can I say the show was great , the food was great, just a great evening.

I've been to a few other luaus and this one has been the best so far. There were multiple options of different meats, salads and veggies for food. We got to watch the pig being unearthed. Open bar until the show started, which gave us...More

Great resort close to town, just need to be away from designated smoking areas that are close to some rooms and the noisy and smelly exhaust kitchen fans that drone away from 5am to 11pm.

It's on a first come first serve basis. We got there about 45 minutes before check-in started and were close to the front of the line. If you want to pay the extra for preferred seating you pay at the time they check you in.
