That strip of beach is all you going see that's looks inviting but no access. Nevertheless, cruise ships shuttles are there. They had live band there the other night. Catch trolley there. Tons of drug dealers and users...sad but that's everywhere in the world. But...More

I can't really give an accurate review, but we did go the Kailua Pier for the night time manta ray dive. At night the pier itself is almost pitch black - would love to see more night time lighting.

It is used for tour boats and for cruise shop to off- and pick up visitors to Kona. It sits out into Anacho'omalu Bay at the water side of the Marriott Courtyard.

Accessible location to beach/ piers, stores/ shopping, restaurants, public transit, and a $2 Kona Trolley that takes youbto several beaches and resorts within reach. There's lots of equipment rentals. Lovely atmosphere. Recommended for singles or families.
