This is a good place for the kids to swim, as the cove keeps out a lot of the waves. Nice calm waters for snorkeling too!

Just at the end of Alii Drive the pier is easy to find and it's a really nice place to sit and watch the sunset without paying the price of the expensive hotel that is also situated just near the pier.

Located down the street on Ali'i drive, but you can paddle-boat, fish, swim or simply bathe in the sun and watch all those tourists covered in oil...

This was right across from our Kona Seaside Hotel so we went snorkeling. Seen lots of fish and sea turtles. Must watch out for the sea urchins, Don't step on them!

Nice stores within walking distance, current construction is a little bit of a damper. Farmers market worth checking out. We like the bubba gump restaurant because of its waterside location.

My brother and sister in law took me here to paddle board. The weather was great and the water warm. I am new to open water paddling so I fell in quite a few times. It was easy access to unload everything. There is a place to rent boards right on the beach. We didn't see any sea life but... More

Soak up some local ambiance at the Kona Pier. Take a picnic lunch and a beach chair and just sit and watch the activity. Lots of deep sea fishing boats use the Pier as well as Tour boats that take you to the City of Refuge and Capt. Cook monument. Try to come back late afternoon and see the deep... More

For me this is a little bit similar to the uncomparable malekon in Havanna. Not the same but very nice!
