The Kona International Market is comprised of an array of nice buildings -- but much of the space is currently unoccupied... there's only a few vendors remaining here. The Food Court offers take out plate lunches at reasonable prices... there's an Asian grocery too with a good selection of items that aren't found elsewhere in Kona. Aside from a couple... More

This was not very impressive nor very interesting with many places vacant and what was there not very interesting. Your time can be better spent elsewhere.

My wife and I have visited the International Market in Kailua-Kona several times over the years. Back in 2002 the International Market was a thriving, fun to look through marketplace. In 2008 it was obvious that things were turning, with some open spaces. Today the marketplace is almost completely empty, with just a handful of shops still there. I hope... More

Feels a bit like a thrift shop. Many merchants were closed. A few basic Hawaiiana gifts, but several empty stalls. Too bad, could be a nice place to shop if it was modernized.

The day we went all of the areas weren't occupied, but we were able to find a few treasures. To include handmade jewelry, t-shirts and bags.

Stopped to see if they had anything interesting. Nope it wasn't worth it. Not many shops and most was junk. One shop had wood carvings that were cool but other than that nothing.

The name sounds very inviting, doesn't it. This place is not worth the trouble to find. Very little to see and nothing worth buying. Go have a gelato somewhere instead.

Beware of cruise ship Wednesday as prices increase. Shop around to find best price as we noticed there was a significant difference on different days. We mainly shopped for fruit and veggies and some vendors were great and would throw in a couple different items to try. We were here for a month and loved stopping by daily to purchase... More

We had visited three years ago and was full of shops and great deals. This time disappointed in the number of shops, nice items in the stores remaining, but not much variety.
