Loved my time on Captain Jeff's boat. He does a great job communicating with you beforehand so you can prepare for the trip. He also is a really good teacher, showing you how to properly use his equipment and coaching you as you bring in fish. I got completely smoked reeling in a huge Almaco Jack, one of the largest... Had a great day of catching fish with Captain Jeff. One of the biggest highlights of my vacation. Called and secured a Share Charter and was not disappointed from the time we left the marina and got back. Capt. Jeff is great at what he does and not only did we catch fish we were thrilled to hear some of... More

Captain Jeff took us out on a nearly impossible trip today and STILL made it work. While absolutely no one else was able to find fish, the captain tirelessly kept at it and wouldn't give up. He's a true fisherman and a great guy overall too. I highly recommend captain Jeff if you actually like to fish & know what... More

Jeff will try a variety of methods to catch fish each day (eg not just trolling lures or live bait). knows the bottom fishery well. on the other hand: I really do not come fishing to listen to a captains particular religious beliefs/political views

Captain Jeff's website had all we needed to know to prepare for the trip. I am experienced, but my wife was not. I have fished all over the world and have never met a captain with such an encyclopedic knowledge of the fish and marine life we would encounter on our trip. The start of the day was punctual, and... Its a shame I convinced myself to reserve a charter with Jeff Rogers. In my eyes he is no captain. I arrived at 7am. Our charter was scheduled to leave at 7:30am. Here comes Jeff at 7:15 telling us we are early. We shook hands and I introduced my two young boys without any response or any visual, or verbal... More

I was expecting this bad review because he said he was going to do it along with reporting me to the better business bureau so I made several notes about what exactly happened. This charter was specifically a meat hunt. He wanted to take as much meat as he could back to Oahu. I knew that the best way to... More

This is the second time I have gone with Capt Jeff and both times we took home fish.. This time a finally caught a nice Mahi Mahi. Something I have wanted to catch for a long time and in 8 trips to Hawaii I never had. Capt Jeff came through. We had a major rain storm that day and it... More

This was the first time we've ever paid someone to take us fishing and based on this experience it will likely be the last. If you are a woman who wants to catch fish, we definitely do NOT recommend this captain. For the first time ever, we were actually glad when the trip was over - pretty sad for a... More

After reading this review I honestly thought that this person had gone out with one of my referrals and mistakenly wrote the review about me. That mistake was made before. The first thing that made me think so was the boat and equipment comment. The boat isn’t new and the cockpit could use repainting but most customers comment about what... More

I'd like to start off by mentioning to all of those fishermen that are tired to going on a charter boat with a boat load of non fishermen and those who believe or brag about how many fish they have ever caught should look at Captain Rogers single and shared charters. After reading all of his reviews (start with the... More
