Love going to this outdoor mall. Very good vegan take out on first floor. Dive shop, Pizza, free parking and then able to walk to Ali'i Drive without worrying about a parking ticket.

We stop here frequently when in Kona, mainly for their restaurants. We prefer to eat at all locally owned places while here, and some of the best are here. Several have outdoor tables directly across from the ocean. You can have a good meal plus watch the beautiful waves.

We love this charming little area. Perhaps not very elegant as some critics have noted, but charming and friendly. There are many restaurants all offering something different. Great art galleries. It also has free parking and is a close walk to all activities in town. If you are expecting high tea you will likely not fit in. But for a... More

This market place has sadly declined over the years, which is unfortunately true for a lot of establishments on Alii Drive. A lot of storefronts are empty, and not much is left: the ABC store is still catering to the tourist needs, and there are some services tucked away in the back, like a hair stylist. The main drawing card... More

A bunch of small shops that sell trinkets and stuff you don't want or need. Most of the items were very over priced for what it was. not real good souveniers. the resturaunts are just bar food type. they are on the water and they are decent but nothing special. the area was very over rated to us and could... Take to the time to visit, there is so many different traders and you can get most of your gifts and fresh produce from there.

We visited the market place two times while we were in Kauai. There were fun shopping choices at the marketplace. One shop offered hula dance lessons, island crafts, and ukulele lessons. There is a restaurant which had good food for lunch. The Market Place has restrooms and an information center.

Enjoyed dining upstairs, overlooking the main street and the ocean. Touristy shops downstairs. Overall a nice place to stop on your shopping walk through downtown Kona.

Dined at Outback, which was crowded, and the stores nearby were all closed, so not much to do but sit and wait. Nice place to take a stroll.
