I have not been in the ocean here. But several evenings my grandsons enjoyed body surfing and boogieboarding the waves. THe waves were quite rough a few days but still highlight for them being from Texas not much ocean near where they live.

Gorgeous sunny day on the beach. Has lifeguard that frequently reminded people about the surf since it was extremely high. Crowded with locals and tourists but lots of fun

What a great little beach! Never too crowded and the water is so warm. Great for families too. You'll find this gem in Kona.

Beautiful beach!! Watch out for rocks on the oceanfloor. Also watch for breaks on the shore. They can be very forceful but head out about 10 feet and it's magical. Nice parking lot across the street and the downtown is so cute and quaint.

Small beach and very crowded during our stay. We did see dolphins near the beach. Nice waves that were good for boogie boards

We stayed in the Magic sands apartments and this was our backyard! Perfectly warm, clear water. Great for swimming and playing in the waves, but be cautious of the breaking as the waves will dump you very unceremoniously upon the shore! Good snorkeling a bit...More

Magic Sands is a beautiful little beach with a row of palm trees for shade. There is a volleyball net for those who don't enjoy playing in the waves. While I enjoyed watching boogieboarders, the waves were a bit larger than I am comfortable with....More

Visited here one year ago and the place lives up to its name. It is called Magic Sands because the beach disappears once a year and then returns. It was beautiful a year ago when I visited but only have the area was covered in...More
