From our factory on the slopes of Hualalai Mountain's bountiful Kona region on the Island of Hawaii comes the one and only Original Hawaiian Chocolate(R). We are the first to grow, hand-pick, sun-dry and process only Hawaiian grown cocoa beans, non-blended to assure purity and quality. The result is a delicious single-origin Hawaiian chocolate of distinctive texture and taste. The OHCF farm and factory tours are offered Wednesday mornings at 9:00am and Friday mornings at 9:00am. It is a one hour walking tour of the orchard and factory and of course, includes chocolate sampling! Bob conducts a fabulous tour ... it's full of information about every step in the chocolate making process, from growing the trees to molding each handmade delicious bar. Please go online to book your tour for Wednesday or Friday. Chocolate Shoppe is open Tuesday through Friday 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM. Chocolate is Aloha!

We took the tour off of our Norwegian Cruise line excursion list and glad we did. A family owned farm making chocolate the right way. Awesome. We loved the tour. Got samples and really enjoyed ourselves. This is a great family farm tour.

Thank you Jim for your kind words—we take pride in our small-batch chocolate made from cacao grown right here on the Big Island of Hawaii! Now you know chocolate doesn't grow on trees! Hope you enjoy the rest of your cruise!

This tour was very interesting and informative. The grounds were easy to navigate and the tour was detailed and interesting. The sample chocolates were delicious.

Picked a day where they weren't giving tours, so got stuck watching a video on chocolate production instead. Staff were nice and gave some free samples. Learned a lot about chocolate production. Parking here sucks, but hey, it's basically a farm. Chocolate there is very...More

Quick informative talk with owner, unfortunately there was a cruise ship tour that was arriving moments after we do so we weren't able to talk much. He did make sure to give us a sample of the chocolate fudge sauce that was wonderful as well...More

We've never been to a chocolate farm before, so it was interesting to tour this place. They do everything from planting the cacao to picking it, drying it, harvesting it and making it into chocolate bars and other confections. I would highly recommend this tour...More

My wife and I really enjoyed the tour. One of the owners was our tour guide and he gave a thorough but lighthearted explanation of the chocolate making process, and gave informative answers to our group's many questions. It was really interesting to see the...More

Chocolate from the tree to your mouth. Yum. I loved seeing the grove of trees with every stage of the cacao from blossom to pod to bean. The biology and chemistry were well explained for those of us who like that sciencey stuff. Fair warning,...More

We're happy you enjoyed your visit, including seeing the agricultural end of chocolate making. Lots of gardeners marvel at how the flowers grow right on the bark of the cacao trees! How unfortunate your fudge was confiscated by the TSA. We are aware this can...More

We learned everything we ever wanted to know about chocolate on the tour by the self-proclaimed "formerly clueless" owner. A very special couple owns this farm with a very special mission. We wish them the best. Little kids will get bored but anyone who is...More

Mahalo for bringing your family of 5 up to see us! Now you know chocolate doesn't really grow on trees—but football-shaped cacao does! Best wishes back in the Sunshine State!

Original Hawaiian Chocolate grows macadamia nuts on their farm but does no processing of nuts on site. There are no nuts in their chocolate bars.
