We went here twice, the first time we were way to early, they had not fully set up, so we decided to come back. Glad we came back, I am a lover of tea, and they had three teas there for me to try, my guy was there for the coffee, we were there to get coffee for him, and... More

We were here just recently and enjoyed one of their tours, which start every hour on the hour. John told us about how he recently purchased the brand from bankruptcy and we were so impressed with his knowledge of the whole process of making coffee, from the tree to the roasting process. We loved the samples they had available at... More

My husband and I ventured here in between beach days. It's a really quick tour. I think one leaves every hour. There are a few really interesting machines and a great gift shop with coffee samples.

Relatively new ownership with a friendly staff, but not what we expected. Sitting around waiting on a tour and decided to leave vs waiting. Hopefully once new ownership gets their feet on the ground better greeting of guest and make you feel welcome and wanted as guest.

We arrived in Kona earlier in the day & wanted to stretch our legs while immersing ourselves in our surroundings. With a quick glance at our map, we realized that we were close to Mountain Thunder & thought we'd indulge our coffee-loving selves. The drive up to the farm is beautiful & the free tour is informative.

Just outside of Kona up on the hillside overlooking the ocean, you will find a friendly and proud group of coffee farmers and roasters. New owners with big plans. After a brief and very infomative tour, guests can try any of a number of fresh coffee samples and amazingly --fresh brewed teas. Even if you don't care for the beverages,... More

This was a pleasant surprise on our trip up to Mauna Kea. Our tour guide was so knowledge and we learned so much about coffee in general. We were there a little over an hour...and finished the tour with some wonderful tea and coffee tasting

It's really hard to review this place at the moment as ownership changed hands today. Coffee maker was not at the ready so there were no samples. They did hand out 25% off coupons to visitors, so we did end up making a couple blind faith purchases (more later once we get home and brew the coffee). The location is... More
