I went on the mule ride with my younger cousin (40-ish) and sister-in-law (50-ish) and my sister (65-ish). I'm almost 70. The two younger ones thoroughly enjoyed the ride--number one and two respectively on their all-time favorite experiences. My sister and I enjoyed the gorgeous...More

I was drawn to visit Kalaupapa after reading the book "Molokai". This was my 32nd birthday trip and a huge bucket list item for me. It is hard to explain in words what I took from the trip and my tour guide, Keahi. His profound...More

We didn’t have a lot of time to spend on Molokai, but we were determined to get to Kalaupapa while we were there. We had planned to hike down - which was good because when we booked they were out of miles for the day...More

I was there at the end of April after news had been released of the closure. They still did the ride, but they had to have a trailer deliver the mules to the trail.
