Zell Am See is not serene, its too small to be too crowded, We drove from Salzburg for a day trip and we found our decision to be a good one. The church tower area is quite attractive with a small market and some folk group with dance performance is quite pleasant. Lots of places to eat but again too... More

I love walking around this wonderful lake with such stunning scenery around it. Be it winter, spring, summer or autumn there are always great views to be seen. The almost 12km walk is well worth taking. Start and finish at the Grand Hotel because Crazy Daisy near by can provide the perfect finish sat on the terrace with a glass... More

We went to see the "sound of music" laser and water show based on another review. I'm so glad we did, it was great. We sat and had ice creams while enjoying the show. It was about half hour, and its free. The lake is beautiful, there are restaurants and shops too. The show was a lovely way to finish... More

Laser Show on the Esplanade is a must see if you are near Zell Am See or Kaprun. It is quite a popular show, so try to reach about 30 mins earlier else you might not get a chair or place to sit. Enjoy the evening with many ice cream shops near the esplanade.

We had the pleasure to visit Zell am See (winter 2014) and of course we didn't miss the chance to take a walk on the Esplanade. It's the perfect place to decouple yourself from the daily routine. It offers many good spots for perfect photos and i#m sure that in the summer is even nicer.

On visiting Zell um See we walked along this superb Promenade on the shores of this Beautiful lake.We visited in December with no snowfall,I can imagine it being transformed into an alpine paradise as the skiers take to the slopes and in the summer the scenic grandeur of the mountains. The walk along the front has a lake cruise at intervals... If you walk the See Esplanade you will surely see people from all corners of the world! There is a mix of everything and you can just sit at a bench on the esplanade and watch the world go by. Especially nice if the weather is good and the sun is out!

We were on an electric boat which we rented, and at about 3PM there was a fountain that squirted up near the shore by the city park. We didn't walk that way, so I didn't see any signs, but I heard later that they give concerts there in conjunction with the fountain.

Very clean everywhere and so peaceful to walk along. Ducks, swans and other birds waddling around on the grass. Dog 'poo bags' provided above the bins.
