Due to a rockfall, the gorge Liechtensteinklamm is closed for the entire season 2017. We apologize for any inconveniences! The gorge Liechtensteinklamm, one of the longest and deepest white water gorges in the Alps, is an outing destination for the whole family, located only 30 min away from the City of Salzburg. This natural phenomenon in the heart of Salzburg is well worth the visit the whole summer.

We came in May 2018 and it was closed. I’m giving it a one star review because it doesn’t say ANYWHERE that it is closed for 2018. I asked a woman on the road and she said it was still closed because of the fallen...More

A nice experience with some very impressive views on the waterfalls. Sometimes a bit slippery on the stairs and jn the dark tunnels, but that made it even a bit of an adventure for the kids.

Fortunately, we were staying in nearby Alpendorf; so the wasted journey wasn't a great inconvenience. That said, if you'd traveled a distance it would be rather annoying. We called in on 8 July. It was closed for repairs - rockfall, I believe, so presumably it's...More

This place looks great in the photos but we found out it was closed when we arrived, our hosts then told us it was shut for summer 2017, best to give them a ring and check before setting off.

This is a natural wonder, the power of the water and the walk are incredible. I would go back again and do the rest of the walk.

Amazing, spectacular hike to roaring waterfalls. We took our time to really enjoy this impressive miracle of nature. Not to be missed! This hike is fantastic!

Even if you have seen other natural gorges around the globe, don't miss this one. Most of the path goes through man-made tunnels with openings in between. The constant sound of roaring water and the amount of water (even in the Autumn) is simply breath...More

We visited here today, it was absolutely lovely. It has been raining recently, the water was rushing down the gorge. I do not know if this is more than usual but it was incredibly powerful. I used the word "wow" more than once! I enjoyed...More

Looks like t's still closed for 2017, due to rock falls. But from the Salzburg tourism website, it looks like it is closed from November to May in "normal" circumstances. My wife and I hope to visit some time!

Not exactly sure - we drove there. I would guess about 5 KM?? Not sure whether there is a bus service. I doubt it - unless the attraction has re-opened. Sorry not to be specific!
