Fab find in Kaprun for old car lovers

A bit pricey at 9.5 euros but a great find on a wet afternoon in Kaprun. There are four halls of wall to wall old cars and motorcycles in the basement of the hotel. Someone... read more

Take the time to stroll this collection. Fascinating and curious cars. I understand that the collection on exhibit is not even half of the owner's full collection.

There is really lots of oldtimer cars mostly from West and East Germany and some english one. You can find some emblematic modell like E-Type Jag and Porsche 911. Unfortunatelly the value of the restoratios are not so fine and nice...

Excellent collection of old-time cars and motorcycles, some of them really rare! The entrance fee is 9,50 Euros and book no more than 1 hour for your visit.

A bit pricey at 9.5 euros but a great find on a wet afternoon in Kaprun. There are four halls of wall to wall old cars and motorcycles in the basement of the hotel. Someone obviously had a serious passion for collecting old cars. There are some absolute beauties. There is even one of the old trains from the Kitzsteinhorn... More

Went here over the Christmas 2016 break and what a wonderful display of vehicles. I showed my wife 2 of the vehicles that I used to own but I was a bit embarrassed about owning a Zundapp Bella scooter. And showed her the Citroen DS 21 that I nearly bought over 40yrs ago! A very good car well ahead of... More

Tiny from the outside, huge from the inside. I have been to many car museums, and this is one of the nicest. Huge collection, well sorted, with a personal touch.

Not easy to find but well the effort and free entry with the local summer card. The are probably about forty cars form the 1950s to the 70s, including a few Jaguars, Mercedes, and VWs but also many lesser known makes from Eastern Europe, including the memorable Messerschmitt. In addition there are about thirty motorcycles.
