Very dramatic timber staircase climb through the gorge. The reservoir at the top with the Kitzsteinhorn as a back drop is a lovely spot

Attempted Sigmund-Thun-Klamm after a visit to the Krimml Waterfalls and although a lot smaller equally stunning. You can get really close and you will get a bit wet but that is all part of the experience. Did this as a last minute decision and I am glad we did. Not expensive and well worth a visit situated on outskirts of... More

If you are not far away from Kaprun, you may make a short stop by Sigmund-Thun-Klamm. It is really amazing feeling when you are alone in this canyon, seething water is just under your feet and you are hovering between rocks. So: + great nature object + comfortable route + nice lake at the end with playground, picnic area, fishing... More

The Sigmund Thun hiking trek is a good option if less good weather prevents you from going up into the alps. Here you will be protected from the wind and much of the rain, but you will still enjoy a nice day out. Quite a lot of steps, but still not overly hard and suits many hikers. Take your time... More

While coming back from Kitzstrainhorn got down at this stop and as the attraction was free in our Zell Am See-Kaprun card so entered to visit. Its kind of a walk way inside jungle (Not wild or dangerous) over the waterfall. You can feel like walking on a adventurous path. Lots of picture spot with fresh air and feel of... More

Walking on wooden bridges just a few metres above the running, noisy water was great. You walk like in a tunnel without a roof, the rocks end some 32 meters up

It can be reached by bus 660 from zell am see station. Its beautiful gorge with strong current of water. You cover the whole gorge by narrow wooden stairs. At the end is a beautiful lake and a hike can be done to the other end.

We went here on a rainy morning. Arriving at 9am ment we beat the crowds. There is a nice walk around the lake at the top as well as a mountain hut
