Crescent Park is a linear park along the Mississippi River with a greenway trail leading to the French Market. If you're willing to walk a mile or two, it provides safe, ample and free parking to access the French Quarter. It would probably take longer...More

When I read other comments, I wonder if I came to the same place. So maybe I have missed something! The view on the Mississipi river is nice, you can see some old style boats. It's a good spot for a walk as well. But...More

Crescent is a couple mile long park along the river. Always a lot of activity to see on the river. When we were there the river was darn near at flood stage so it was pretty turbulent. There’s areas you can still see destruction from...More

I came here looking for a nice running path and I was very pleasantly surprised by this park and the views. Take the large stairwell up and around to get in if you’re walking from N Peters Street and get ready for lovely views of...More

My friends took me to Crescent Park one day when it was clear and a bit blustery out by the Mississippi River. We parked in the Park's parking lot on Chartres and crossed the curved pedestrian bridge to the park. The bridge steps were being...More

The pavement is smooth and the trail is flat. I rented a Blue Bike from a few blocks away and rode through the park. I was wishing I had my roller skates with me! The water view is okay, but not the main draw. There...More

First attempt was the end near Frenchman Street. Elevator broken. Got to top and other side broken also. Bad knees. Aborted visit. Second try was at other end. Going over the cresent bridge was easier. Great place to stroll the late afternoon light.

We went here for the 2 mile fun run on New Years Day. There was plenty of parking on the street near the stairs where you access the park. The park was clean and appeared to be well maintained. The bathrooms were also clean. The...More

I did a few runs in the park, starting from the west end, where the park is accessible via a pedestrian stair/walkway that goes over the tracks, to the east end, where the parking lot is. The walkway is wide and you have a constant...More

This is a lovely urban park, easy to get to from the French Quarter. It's a very easy stroll and wonderfully tranquil after the hustle and bustle of the French Quarter. If you want to stretch your legs and take a breather then this might...More
