Got a few hours to spare and you want to see Saint Louis Cemetery No. 1? Then this is the tour for you! Two hour sightseeing walking tour with stops at Louis Armstrong Park, Congo Square, and Basin Street Visitor Center. You will visit: Marie Laveau's Tomb, Nicolas Cage's Tomb, Easy Rider, Society Tombs, Oven Vaults, and the Protestant Section. Ernie conducts The Cemetery History Tour starting at Johnny White's Corner pub, located at 720 Bourbon Street on Monday, Tuesday, at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., and Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Please check the Event Calendar on website to confirm times and dates. It is not just the tour company that makes the difference, it is the tour guide! If you want to guarantee quality, you need to know your tour guide. Ernie conducts cemetery, history, voodoo and ghost tours. He is especially passionate about The Cemetery Tour. Ernie Sylvester was our tour guide through St. Louis Cemetery #1. He is very knowledgeable of the history of New Orleans and specifically the cemeteries. He also has a great sense of humor. I highly recommend Ernie's tour.
