Not sure why this place comes up in TripAdvisor search as New Orleans cooking classes nor what the other rave reviews stating great class etc are about. I just called and got a quick, curt answer as stated in the review’s title. Ce la vie.

You get to watch a renowned chef prepare real Cajun dishes and then you get to eat them! I wasn't shy about the eating part of the program. You will also receive the recipes, which I came home and prepared. All three dishes were perfect,...More

Definitely not what I was expecting, sitting watching someone cooking, but it really was great. Jambalaya and Gumbo was being taught the day we went, and OMG it was far better than any food I tasted anywhere else in NO. And to sit there watching...More

My husband and I were perusing the little kitchen shop in front of Cookin' Cajun, when we just happened to run across this little cooking school. To our good fortune we discovered that after the morning classes conclude, they transform themselves into a cafe which...More

Even if you already know how to make a gumbo or a jambalaya, you’re going to love taking a class at ‘Cajun Cookin.’ You go for the food, the fun, and the people. The day I was there, teacher Karin and manager Sandra traded banter,...More

Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other
parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title
might suggest that this area is all about business and
little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you
away from the Central Business District. The CBD
offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be
touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the
world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts
