Visited this wonderful shop over the weekend. We order from the website often, but it is always nice to do a little shopping when we are able to drive in to New Orleans. This is a quaint little shop that will custom make parfums. My wife picked out hers over 20 years ago and I have been buying there ever... More

Paid for the custom blending and it was worth every penny! Lori was fantastic, I'm in love with my new fragrance. It's an experience I won't soon forget.

I was referred to Bourbon French Parfum in October, 2000 by a close friend. She had a custom blend of perfume made and recommended having my own blend made. It was one of the most memorable things I have ever done! I still have the same blend on record, and as my grand-daughters have grown, they have wanted the same fragrance... More

The shop is small & filled with pretty perfumes. The shop features its own blended perfumes & you can even create a custom blend that's made just for you. Staff finds out about your body chemistry, likes & dislikes in scents and then creates your custom blend. They keep it on file so you can continue to reorder if you... More

This quaint little place is abundant with handcrafted fragrances inspired by the Deep South. Curated & handcrafted in an Olde French Apothecary style presentation, the abundant fragrances come gift packed in complimentary (optional upon request) burgundy velvet drawstring bags decorated with a gorgeous gilded gold logo imprint. Feel free to sample as many as you like. Try them on! Located... More

Friendly shop with a wide variety of scents or you can even create your own scent (I did not do the custom scent but may in the future), I bought a couple of purse sized roller balls in French Lavender and Bergamot. Both smell fabulous (even better when worn together). The roller balls were around $9 and a little goes... More

Walking along Royal this is a must stop in kind of place. But please be forewarned, if you have a sensitive nose stick your head in and see if you can handle it. It is not that it is awful, but going off the street and then having a plethora of scents hit, it can be overwhelming. Once in, we... More

If you are a girl who loves things that smell good, you can't miss this while in New Orleans. In business since the 1800's with original recipes, this is a must do. Staff is very helpful. Choose from their many amazing scents or customize your own. I personally went for the Vodoo Love! My daughter chose Anastasia. Both smell delicious.

This small shop has perfumes made from historical recipes. We stopped in here at the end of the day, and I wish I had taken longer to look at what they offered. I plan to stop by again next visit to the French Quarter. They have a website but it doesn't compare to being there in person.

I took my sister and her bachelorette party here to make individualized perfumes. Mary, the owner has owned this store since 1991 but has been around since 1865. It was such a cool experience, she first tests 3 different scents on your skin to see your preference. Then you fill out information on your favorite scents and lastly she sat... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
