This Bar was wonderful, just as I had imagined a Jazz Bar in New Orleans. Music was traditional, crowd were noisy and appreciative. Certainly recommend this is not to be missed. We went 3 evenings during our 6 day stay. Each time there was a different group of musicians It was always busy, but Kate managed to find everyone a... More

Fantastic place!! Very cozy. The music was just perfect, a real oasis on bourbon street. There are just a few tables; most of the people sit in a shared banch. It's always crowded, but if you are pacient just wait for the end of the set: there are many people leaving between them.

This very humble entrance led us to an amazing evening of soulful jazz. It was relaxed, but not too mellow. We found it intimate and friendly, and everyone had a great time. The drinks were really great as wells.

This place is small, but the entertainment is quite enjoyable. Just be patient and you will get a seat.

Stopped in here to enjoy the awesome jazz band that was playing. The music was awesome and the crowd was really into it, but the hurricane we ordered was kind of awful and definitely overpriced for how it tasted. Ended up leaving after a couple songs because of that.

Enjoyed a beer and great music at this small, cozy venue. Friendly staff and good service. We purchased a cd of their house band.

If you are a true jazz lover, PLEASE do yourself a favor and check this place out. You will not want to leave. Its our 3rd night in a row here. 2 different bands. Both amazing, all musicians are great but I will never forget the pianist, Richard Scott. Drinks are NOT $20/ea as someone here said. They are reasonably... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
