Each time we walked by and stopped in they had great music playing. There is not much seating, most of the floor space is for dancing. Drinks were averagely priced for the area.

We always end up at Famous Door! This is my favorite place in NOLA. My husband and I spent hours sitting on a bar stool listening to live music during our trip last week. The Junction is our favorite band- Thursday-Sunday night. Fabulous music and...More

We popped in to hear the afternoon live music and the 2 for 1 beer special. Band was great and had the crowd involved. Beer was cold but not 2 for 1 where I live! HA! $16 for 2 Coronas....anyhow, good atmosphere for a bar....More

This place has been hit or miss over the past years. We heard good live music and gravitated here. The band was playing cover music but they were doing it REALLY well. So we stayed. It's not a hip hop club any more.

Definitely go here to sing, dance, and have fun with the band. Ended up here every night at some point. Lively crowd, good music and no problem walking in with grenades or hurricanes from another spot. Shot girls weren't pushy either. Definitely THE SPOT to...More

Over a few years, I've been to the Famous Door several times and it seems they have a different band each time. I hope they don't change to Country and Western music!!! Gotta love that good old Rock & Roll!
Are minors (18 and 20) allowed here?

I have also tried calling the famous door and am unable to get through, as I get a message saying I have the wrong number.
