I am from LA, I wanted to see the wild swamps of Louisiana and instead ended up paddling by a freeway. Seriously, you take an exit and are paddling by cars on a freeway. At least at this location. No wildlife due to it being...More

Hello! Could you please provide the name of the guide for our reference? I'm under the impression you may have reviewed the wrong company.

Mike was a great guide- super knowledgeable about everything local, history, ecosystem, etc. I really enjoyed the trip. Kayaking the swamp was relaxing and a great way to learn about the region and local ecosystem.

We couldn't agree more! Even in the early winter we have some really nice time on the water! We continuously stay certain that the non-motorized approach is the best way to sneak deep into the swamps. Thanks for the support and your feedback.

I suggest seeing the swamp like this 10/10 over a boat tour. It's incredibly peaceful, quiet, and serene. Our guide Mike was sooo awesome! He was a great conversationalist and also hilarious with his dry sense of humor, and so knowledgeable with botany and history...More

Haha thats hilarious! Noodling for catfish with alligator snapping turtles around is probably not the smartest idea, though we bet Sammy would go for it anyways! Thanks for paddling with us!

Sam was an amazing guide. He was very friendly and helpful during the kayak tour and was able to answer all ours questions and the visit at the plantation was great. We had a really good time!

I had a wonderful kayaking experience ! I liked the fact that the place is quiet, no touristic and very beautiful. Also, I choose kayak because it’s more respectful of the nature. Our guide was great, invest about the nature. A little bit expensive but...More

Our guide Jeffrey was incredibly passionate and knowledgable. Learning about the rich history and topography of Louisiana whilst navigating through the serene swamplands was simply magical. We even saw a baby alligator! Highly recommend this tour for people who appreciate nature and the great outdoors.

Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The water was like a mirror, the foliage, cypress and spanish moss was wonderful. And there were some baby alligators and tiny green tree frogs.

These are sit aboard kayaks, so you sit on top not in. As far as weight limit, I don't know. The double seaters would have to handle 500 lbs I would think.
