Great visit! Checked out the loop boardwalk trail, the interpretation center & the planetarium. Very cool! Will return in cooler weather to check out the more primitive walking trails.

The surroundings of the new complex of buildings are not nearly as attractive as the old. The old approach was over a lagoon with cypress trees and elsewhere a walk along the lagoon. The new has none of that opportunity to look down on water....More

I second this question. I'm seeing on the website that it is being refurbished after Katrina in one place, and that the "newly rebuilt" building is open in another site.
