Great museum with many uniforms and artifacts. Unfortunately, due to the removal of the Lee statue, I will not spend a dime in New Orleans, other than to visit this museum or the WWII museum. Any visit to the city will be strictly a day...More

The exhibits are related to the Civil War and they have a lot of uniforms and good research material. Be careful in the area at night and understand that the nearby Lee Circle monument will be destroyed so that there anti confederate people may react...More

I am a civil war buff and have wanted to visit this museum for a few years. They have the largest collection of confederate memorabilia in the world I believe. Lots of human stories in their cabinets. They have a short film about the museum....More

The historical collection was as enjoyable but the Jazz collection was quite interesting. I especially liked the interview of Louis Armstrong with Dick Cavat. Armstrong's personal experiences in NOLA were revealing of the times.

This was one of my favorite museums to see. It had so many Civil War items on display and was very low key and not crowded. I would recommend it highly. It is a small museum

This museum is small but houses quite a bit for its size. I found the flags and civil war weapons the most interesting.

is home to a buzzing arts scene with an amazing
assortment of galleries, boutiques, and studios having
moved in and set up shop throughout the disused
warehouses for which the area is so well known. Much
of the art you'll come across here is local in scope,
ownership and inspiration. However, among the many old
brick warehouses are modern structures of steel and
