We had high expectations of this tour to get a real flavor of what NOLA had to offer. We had done a food tour before in Toronto and LOVED it so I thought this would be fun also. Our guide was pretty good, she was well educated and a true NOLA native. BUT the food portions were super small. We... More

My wife and I took our three hour tour with Libby and we just had a blast! So much fun on the food tour. We learned all about New Orleans food, the culture, the difference between Cajun and Creole, and had some fantastic food to boot. This is my second food tour and I think these are going to be... We really enjoyed our tour with Linda in New Orleans. It was a rainy day and she did a great job editing our tour so that we could find cover quickly. If we had any constructive criticism, it would be for the company's website: other food tours gave an opportunity of listing allergies and aversions to food. Although Linda accommodated... More

This tour was amazing! Our guide, Preston, was really the reason I'm rating this five stars. He had so much knowledge and gave us a really good foundation of knowledge to continue exploring the French Quarter and beyond on our own after the tour. It was so nice getting to know other people while on the tour as well! Thanks... More

This tour gives you a real sampler of New Orleans food, and a lot of interesting history to go along with it. We thoroughly enjoyed it. If you want to have a walk around the French quarter and try all the traditional dishes- you should definitely go.

Very knowledgable retired newspaper report who grew up in New Orleans. Great way to soak up some history while learning about New Orleans signature dishes. Would have like to had a finale at Pat O'Briens or another bar/restaurant.

Tour guide could not be heard. Kept loosing her guests. Tried to give to much history...even though she could not be heard. First stop the restaurant/bar staff were rude....told us that the seats were for paying customers and we were going to have to tighten up....we were a fire hazard. Went down hill from there, we walked off the tour... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
