Seemed like a lot of homeless people wandering around. Hall is abandoned, windows broken and doors welded closed. I dont understand how they do concerts here, must be a different building than the large original one. As we walked around it looked like there was...More

Quiet and pretty surroundings. Convenient location for picking up or being dropped off by uber. The main entrance is amazing at night!

Some gates may be locked even though the park is open, so don't bank on being able to walk in one side and out the other. Take time to read the plaques on the statues, and watch out for the squirrels.

This is a bit of an oasis. By accident found out about the Thursday evening free jazz concerts and was glad we did. Lots of locals of all age groups having a great time.

This was a really good find. Hadn't read anything about it before our visit but it was well worth going. A great example of concrete architecture that works and looks stunning.

Beautiful little park. Nice benches - great place to sit a spell out of the sun and people watch. Across the street from the harbor.

That sound? That flavor? That certain je ne sais quoi
that lets you known you’re in “Nawlins” and nowhere
else? It’s all good and in broad abundance on the
streets of Tremé, where so much of what’s considered
to be the very best of New Orleans culture and
tradition is, put simply, just how people go about
their daily lives in this historic part of town. As
one of America’s oldest African-American neighborhoods

No. Entry is free for just walking around the park. Although I think fees might apply for some events.
