Beautiful piazza but it sits idle for most of the year. It is only used for social gatherings of Italian-American New Orleanians. Would be a great venue for outdoor concerts.

It's a decent outdoor space, but as usual, it was not being used, and looked like it never has been in a long time.

This is an interesting public space, but it is a bit sparse. There was no one there when we passed it. Though it is nice to have a piazza in NOLA.

Still waiting to see if a show or music is played here. Outside theater maybe? It does look like it's all fenced off now.

I stumbled onto this little piazza by accident. It was all locked up except for one entrance and was basically deserted. It appears to be a recreation of some Italian architecture but looks rather rundown. I wouldn't bother with it unless you happen to be...More

Beautiful fountain right off of Poydras. If you're out sightseeing, it's definitely worth a stop to get some nice pics. I didn't go into the American Italian Cultural Center just stopped to see the fountain/clock.

If you've ever been to Ceasar's in Las Vegas or Atantic City or the Bush Gardens in Virginia, you need not see this. It's a nice little plaza with water and Italian backdrop with Latin inscriptions. Doesn't seem to fit in well with area buildings...More

Discovered this little place while wandering around downtown New Orleans. Not much to see or do here but it's a beautiful little scene to relax, enjoy the city around you, and appreciate. Doesn't take long, so make a stop next time you're in town.

Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other
parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title
might suggest that this area is all about business and
little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you
away from the Central Business District. The CBD
offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be
touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the
world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts
