Amazing Orator Creole Queen Battlefield Tour

Did an evening cruise on the creole queen with the jazz music and meal. This is not a scenic cruise as it is dark and you go down the river so far then come back listening to the jazz musicians who are okay .The meal is also just okay, nothing special at all.For the price of this trip I was... We booked on this as we really wanted to travel on a Paddle Steamer on the Mississippi - check we got that! However the cost of the jazz dinner cruise is in our opinion not worth the money. The food was ok but just ok, the ambience was poor and the whole evening was boring and we couldn't wait to... More

We took the Creole Queen on the Chalmette Battlefield tour. Our guide, Charles, was absolutely fantastic. I'm not a huge history fan but my husband is which is why we took this tour but I found the way Charles described the events to be captivating with a bit of humour thrown in. It was a great way to spend the... More

Boat is lovely but the 2 hour cruise is only an 1 hour cruise, with an hour at a battlefield! They are not upfront about this, also the facilities of hot tea and coffee is non existent.

Took the morning history tour to the battlefield where Jackson beat the British at the end of the War of 1812. The history tour guide on the boat told a fascinating tale of the history of the city through the jazz age. Make sure you see the quick video inside the visitors center.

Many other reviews have spoken highly of Charles, the "voice" of the Creole Queen Historical Cruise. We would like to add our praise. There is nothing better than learning about the history of a place while actually at the location. If you think you know a lot about the history of Lousiana or New Orleans or Hurricane Katrina, think again.... More

Charles did a great, great job on our recent Historical River Cruise. The information he provided on the City, the Battle of New Orleans and on Katrina was extremely informative and delivered in a very unique and distinctive style.

Not exactly what we expected. Booked an evening dinner/jazz tour. Served what they called a Caesar salad, in fact it was a bowl of uncut romaine leaves with croutons. A creamy dressing served on the side. Everything else was tasteless except for the gumbo which was so salty I put it aside. No service, not even water was served to... More

Charles has the most wonderful voice, and is a wealth of information regarding the founding and settling of New Orleans, and Hurricane Katrina. We were not sure what to expect, but found this to be one of our favorite and educational tours we did while in NOLA. I would recommend the Battlefield tour to all history buffs. I recommend sitting... More
