Not all the great things are in the French Quarter. We had dinner at Ye Olde College Inn across the way (somehow associated with Rock n Bowl. It was fantastic (if you like duck, try it), lovely staff, great food, very fairly priced, best restaurant we visited in New Orleans. Then, with three 16 year-olds in tow, we went to... More

I have been to the Rock n Bowl multiple times, usually during Jazzfest. It is always fun. Lots of locals and visitors. Great music in an unusual environment. Come prepared to have a good time.

Caught the Mixed Nuts band at Rock n Bowl in New Orleans on 12/16. Great live music, good food and bowling, all the best things in life. The dance floor was crowded and the lanes were full of people just having a good time. No wonder they just announced a new Rock and Bowl for the Lafayette area next year.... More

My Wife and I love to dance Zydeco. My favorite Zydeco bands that play at the Rock & Bowl are; Geno Delafose, Leroy Thomas, and Little Nathan and the Big Timers. If you visit on Thursday night- you will not be disappointed. Laissez les bons temps rouler!!

We deliberately went on a Thursday night to experience the famed zydeco dancing. For dinner, their "sister restaurant" around the corner & attached inside) is Ye Olde College Inn. We went there first, & the manager that night, Jordan Williams, couldn't have been more gracious! We loved him! There was a 40-minute wait to be seated. we explained that we'd... More

The Rock n' Bowl is always an incredible time. Great music and a super vibe! It's also the host venue of the Ponderosa Stomp. Super fun place.

We ate at Ye Olde College Inn (seriously delicious, consider making your night a double-header) and the manager there actually walked over while we were eating to put our names in for a lane! I think the two businesses are connected (by more than just the parking lot) and it works out perfectly. After dinner we walked over and bowled... More

Folks go to Rock & Bowl for one of two reasons: to bowl, or to listen/dance to music. I go to listen and dance. This is an amiable, friendly place. Management and staff are friendly. The music is high quality and of varied styles: swing, zydeco, blues, New Orleans rhythm & blues, jazz, eclectic. A unique venue where bowlers and... More

Such a fun night. Geno Delafose and the French Rockin Boogie band are great musicians and play for a long time, a fantastic chance to see zydeco music. The venue has pretty cheap beers and a good relaxed vibe!
