Ditch the annoying big tour groups! We did our second tour with Jeffrey, this time we did the cemetery tour (first time was French Quarter). He's the go-to guide for learning about the intriguing history of New Orleans and having a good time!

We did the personal cemetery tour with Jeffrey, he was amazing. Very knowledgeable and entertaining, we all had a great time. It was also so much nicer to get our own personal tour after watching a huge group of people being corralled by their tour guide. We will definitely book another tour with Jeffrey when we go back.

Jeffrey gave us a wonderful tour of the more interesting history of the French Quarter. He has extensive knowledge of some the more colorful characters that were the first inhabitants of New Orleans. I would highly recommend Jeffrey-we heard some other tour guides while we were out earlier in the day in the Garden District and there was no comparison.

We requested a tour of NOLA for a group of guys in town for a bachelor party. Jeff the owner put together the perfect tour to start our night out. Grab some drinks and walk with Jeff to learn why New Orleans is such a crazy town!

I recently visited NOLA and met Jeffrey for a private Oswald / JFK Conspiracy tour that revisited the summer of 1963. The Kennedy assassination conspiracy is fascinating and there are some many layers to this "onion". Jeffrey did an excellent job connecting the dots and re-tracing the footsteps of many of the key players - most notably Oswald - during... More

Jeffrey is simply the best! We love his tours so we booked him again on our trip back to New Orleans. Jeffrey is knowledgeable and entertaining. His stories are the best and appreciated the attention. He went out of his way to meet us and accommodate our tour. Thanks Jeffrey (again)

My girlfriend and I booked this tour and also The Voodoo Bone Lady (Rated #2). This was miles ahead of Bone Lady. Loki, our guide, knew everything there was to know about N.O. and was captivating in the historical stories he told. The group was small - about 8 people - compared to Bone Lady which was closer to 20+.... More

My wife and I participated in the history tour of the French Quarter and were fortunate enough to secure Loki as our guide. We decided to use Strange True Tours because of their smaller tour size, and lucked out as it was only the two of us in the tour. Loki was passionate from the start and you could tell... More

When you come to a city as steeped in history as New Orleans, there is absolutely no excuse for not indulging in its rich and vibrant history; unfortunately, like many a city of this size and background, you can find a lot of very tourist-y tours. You know the kind. This is absolutely the anathema to that. You will not... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
