We had a lot of fun completing the urban adventure scavenger hunt. We saw things that were not expected and got a good taste of New Orleans French Quarter. We had young children with us, so it took us over 4 hours from start to finish. However, they also enjoyed it. The older 2 (10 & 11) did enjoy it... More

Thanks to Mickey we learned a ton on this tour. She covered everything from the history of the city to the impact of Katrina on the whole area.

This was recommended by the concierge as a good start to our three day visit. And it was!! Got a good lay of the land, got a feel for what was where and a better idea of where we wanted to spend more time. Also got deeper understanding of how things were after Katrina. The driver was very knowledgeable about... More

We enjoyed this tour so much. Our tour guide named James was so knowledgeable and charismatic. He made the tour so much fun. We saw all the things everyone should see when visiting New Orleans: The French Quarter, The Ninth Ward which had been damaged greatly by Hurricane Katrina,, The Garden District, and Lovely Parks. We highly recommend this tour.... More

My husband and I were visiting our son in New Orleans. I wanted further insights into the historical and cultural background of the French Quarter. The Historic New Orleans Tour and the tour of the Hermann-Grima/Gallier House and cemetery (New Orleans Urban Adventures) was one of the best tours ever. James, who lead the Historic New Orleans Tour, spent a... More

I loved this tour and Rebecca was very nice and extremely knowledgeable. This tour contains factual scandalous information and some great drinks. You can get a drink anywhere in New Orleans but unless you know the area you might be hard pressed to find a well made cocktail. Add some steamy true tales, a small group size, shake well, and... We loved this tour. The guide James was very knowledgable and very nice. He knew everything about the city, it seems, and told us some great stories. The places we visited were extremely interesting and best of all we stopped numerous times to try cocktails unique to New Orleans! Thanks James for a GREAT time! You helped make our vacation... Staying in Garden District

Neighbourhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
