The New Orleans Burlesque Festival was in town September 20 - 22. We purchased tickets to the Friday night "Mondo" show at the Civic. The show(s) were what Burlesque used to be, versus today's ubiquitous pole dancing. The show was emceed by a local comedian...More

Renovated old theater, said to seat 1200. Came by one evening for a Trey Anastasio concert and he was fine. Sound can be a bit muddled at times and the lines for beverages were very long. Great for the young and young at heart

Attended a wedding here recently. Old style theater that has been renovated for parties, weddings, etc. but still holds concerts and other events. Old time and well preserved. Beautiful exterior alley for photo opportunities.
