We LOVED this intimate cooking class and it was one of the highlights of our trip to NOLA. Chef Karen explains things so well and we learned many helpful cooking tips (not just to apply to Cajun and Creole cuisine). We are so excited to...More

What an amazing chef we found in Chef Karen. I learned so much about Cajun and Creole cuisine. There's no regrets for joining this fun time and learning to make an amazing gumbo. The conversation was first class as well. What an amazing place.

I challenge you to find a better technical, and dedicated chef for a small group short course in NOLA. ON TOP OF THAT, she's passionate and patient, and generous with ingredients, time and knowledge. Karen is a pro chef and former successful restauranteur who studied...More

Great food, better chef, Chef Karen took time not only to help us prepare 4 wonderful dishes full of flavor, but to give some background as to origins of each dish. We came away with a thorough knowledge of not only how to physically prepare...More

This cooking class, taught by Chef Karen, was by far the best experience on our trip to New Orleans. My mom and I were fortunate enough to be the only ones in the class, and Chef Karen was so personable and kind. We cooked chicken...More

Sitting pretty across the Mississippi River from the
rambunctious French Quarter, the Crescent City’s
second oldest neighborhood is as historic and as
scenic as any – just a lot less showy about it. With
its numerous 19th and early 20th century homes and
plentiful parks and riverside green space for cycling
and walking, subdued and low key Algiers yields the
best views of New Orleans and offers a quiet haven
