Our driver Jacques was very informative and knowledgeable about his home state, he did his bear to keep the ride to the plantation interesting...I would recommend River Road tours and Jacques if anyone interested in doing the plantation tours.

Yes, you can drive by and see the plantations. You can pull into the parking area and see them. You can't get into the houses or walk all of the grounds without a ticket. The plantations are beautiful but the explanation... More

You can get walk in tickets to the plantations, but you need to know that most close mid-afternoon and some are only open certain days of the week. Some, like Oak Alley, fill up the tour slots quickly. You can do your own... More
