We grew up in New Orleans, and remember the wharves still in the area, that is now Woldenberg Riverfront Park. Though there was development, and improvements being made in this area, the park did not really come into existence, until after we left. When we...More

A beautiful park like all the others in New Orleans. Small for a quick stroll. You'll find the ferry boat here which you can board for a tour. I enjoyed the cultural tunes it was playing upon its arrival.

The Riverfront is not one of the most beautiful per say when it comes to waterfront areas. You see some joggers there in the morning and a few people strolling down the walk. Unfortunately, it seems to also attract a number of homeless.

After visiting Jackson Square, cross the street and marvel at the mighty Mississippi. A good spot to watch the ships navigate the big bend. Also you can see and ride the paddle wheeler if you wish.Nice clean restrooms under the berm by the street

If you find yourself in the area, take a minute to walk around and take photos. It's a good place to stop by.

It's a nice place to view the Mississippi and the crescent city connection. There are some cool sculptures and it's good for a nice walk, but it isn't really anything spectacular.

A lovely green space on the mighty Mississippi riverfront. Take a stroll here and see the monument to the immigrant or enjoy the view of the riverboat Natchez rolling down the river. If you have time visit the Aquarium - it's amazing! This is a...More

Calming walk along the Mississippi River. We were able to catch the Steamboat Natchez leaving for one of its voyages, which was pretty cool. There seemed to be less foot traffic here than other places, but do watch out for husslers.

A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living
lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty
Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port
of call for folks in search of a good time and a great
story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs

around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively
well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the

It'll be packed and it's a sketchy area . Safer on the riverfront in front of Jackson Square. That will still be packed. Just don't bring wallets or purses. Keep your cards an ID in front pockets. Algiers is a nice place and... More
