I’m sure The Columns was a great place to stay 15 years ago but the hotel is in need of significant updates (bathrooms, etc). I couldn’t recommend until updates/renovations are completed. With some TLC, The Columns could again become a great place to stay.

Live music is always a treat. David Doucet and the people with him produce some of the best in New Orleans, which says a lot.

It was raining like crazy, so we were searching for a place to ride out the storm. This was a great location. Great drinks, food and service. I'd highly recommend passing some time on the front porch.

We had dinner and drinks on the porch and it was glorious! Their wine selection was wonderful. Food was great too! I wouldn’t say service was the quickest but it certainly was all done in a timely manner. Love this place — makes you feel...More

One of our favorite places to relax, watch the street cars and enjoy a refreshing Pumm's Cup! The hotel is gorgeous, the staff is very friendly and the drinks are fantastic!

Enjoyed cocktails on the grand colonnaded front porch of this aging NOLA mansion turned hotel that is a pre-dinner meeting place of locals and hotel guests.

We just came for a drink, so we wandered into the hotel first and were impressed by the grand-ness of it. We started off inside in the majestic, classic bar that makes you feel like you've stepped back in time. Then for an entirely different...More

This was the first time watching the Monday night parades before Mardi Gras. The best spot. We were allowed to use the rest rooms; had a place to sit while the parade went by. When we got too cold, we ducked inside to warm up...More

This is a nice bar in a hotel right off St. Charles in a historic mansion. The bartenders make excellent drinks (the sazerac is the best) and the bar food is good as well. They often have a live band and a very friendly staff.

Our family enjoyed the special Christmas Dinner. It was very nice and the atmosphere was quaint. This is a beautiful neighborhood to enjoy a stroll.
