We ate in the restaurant prior to seeing a show last week. Loaded tater tots are awesome! Chicken street tacos were flavorful but dry. Concert venue (parish room) is cool but the drink prices are seriously ridiculous. My advice is go have a few before hand and save $$$. Mixed drinks were $15 and served in a cup barely larger... Great music but a bit too commercial for my taste. We really enjoyed the duo that were performing but it felt like most the people at the venue were treating the band like they were background music. The atmosphere felt contrived and you can buy souvenirs in their store ...I'm singing the "too commercial" blues

The food was okay, but they did mess up our order a little - in fairness, they didn't charge us for the appetisers as they arrived after the mains, It wasn't crowded but the staff seemed to be very busy. We sat in the main restaurant, but the music was going on in the other hall - I think it... More

This place was near our hotel so we ate there our first night in town. We spent a lot of time in their gift shop before going in to dinner. There was live entertainment while we tried their meatloaf dinners were spicy enough to make your nose run. It was one of those place to try once but personally I... More

Last night in New Orleans, hoped for a more casual fun dinner than the other restaurants we sampled (which were all amazing, but a bit stuffy). HOB Chicago has always had great food and service, so we figure the birthplace of the Blues would be awesome. It was not. We could not hear or understand server. The St. Louis ribs... More

A music lovers delight to see the inside of this restaurant! We were seated promptly and our waitress organized our drinks. Food was a bit slow to be received but we got to chat and look at the decor. Food was good and they offer a nice variety of local and regular meals.

The music was terrific. They played lots of great gospel tunes that everyone seemed to know. Great interaction with the crowd. As for the buffet food we were not impressed being that it was Easter morning brunch. The omelette station was a very long wait. As for the rest of the food it was basic buffet style food you can... Thank you for providing feedback about your visit. We apologize our Easter brunch did not exceed your expectations. We will definitely look into ways we can "up the ante" for special occasions such as Easter and Mother's Day. We are also going to discuss how we can alleviate the wait for the omelette station. Thank you again! More

We walked through the restaurant out to the back outdoors, to hear the bands. There was very little seating. We looked at the menu and were going to eat there, but because the music was so loud, we listened to a couple of songs, and left.

Thanks for your review. We apologize you weren't able to stay to dine with us. Our live music is meant to add to the vibe of your New Orleans experience, not to be so loud that you can't enjoy it. We'll keep an ear open to make sure sound is at a comfortable level. We appreciate this feedback you provided. More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
