Stopped for a drink in the daytime to escape the heat. Bar staff friendly and place was cool with the walls covered in business cards. Whole place felt a bit grimy though. Probably better at night.

Definitely an older bar on the strip. In fact, it's the oldest one. And it looks it. Friendly staff, decent drinks. lots of business cards stapled to the walls.

Wife and I stopped by during the day when we first started touring the French Quarter and we were unimpressed. Lots of History there (memoriabilia and bar) and the free cajun popcorn was good. The atmosphere, cleanliness and attitudes of the bartenders have lots of...More

Mark Twain, Oscar Wilde and Frank Sinatra had good taste. A friendly pub with good beer, music and artefacts.

Stopped in and had one drink...service was excellent and they had extensive knowledge of the different absinthe drinks and exactly how to correctly prepare them. An excellent hideaway to relax for a few.

We stopped in on the recommendation of a friend who knew we wanted to see all the fun, cool places while in NOLA. It's definitely a fun, eclectic dive bar. However, we sat at the bar for 15 minutes, waiting for the bartender to finish...More

French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living
lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty
Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port
of call for folks in search of a good time and a great

Hi there! No you do not need to be 21 to get in. Have never thought to eat there with so many other places. Just a real, genuine old New Orleans bar....been there forever!
