On my trip to New Orleans I hadn't planned on going here but found some extra time and decided to explore this attraction. After buying the ticket they gave you a pice of King cake which was delicious. It was cool seeing all the pieces that would go or have been on the mardi gras floats. They are so huge and the detail is amazing. You can even seen some being made. You can take a step out back and look out over the Mississippi River. …

Shuttle service to and from available. Call to find out about pickup and dropoff stations. Many Mardi Gras floats here. Other Mardi Gras exhibits also here. There are artists here working on Mardi Gras exhibits and structures. Admission discounts available for seniors, kids and veterans. A good way to spend a couple of hours, alone, as a couple, as a family with the kids. …

Great place! For those not in NO during mardi gras this is a must to see the floats and how they are made. We walked 2 blocks and called for free pickup from their shuttle which also took us back. We were given a slice of king cake when we arrived. Self guided and very interesting. Lots of picture opportunities.…
