We just got back from a tour with Bill K. He has so much knowledge of the diverse history of New Orleans, it's a real pleasure spending a few hours in his company. I'd recommend doing this tour as early as possible during your stay as it brings the French quarter to life and gives you a solid base in... More

Frederic was our French Guide for a very interesting Tour in creole history of New Orleans. A tour very well organised and structured following the history of a remarkable Creole family. Frederic was very kind as well as knowledgeable and caring. Great way to learn about this wonderful city in a couple of hours.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed this tour and would recommend it to anyone interested in an authentic history of New Orleans. Rosemary was warm and answered all our questions, while showing us four beautiful courtyards and the St. Louis #1 cemetery where the Voodoo Queen, Marie Laveau is laid to rest. Don't miss this tour. Thank you Rosemary!

Even as a local joining out of town friends, I learned new stuff. It was a perfect day, weather wise. We ran a little long but that was ok with us. Bill is fantastic! Thanks for an awesome day, new knowledge and cool stories.

We took this walking tour based on the recommendation of one of the historical building admins. Bill was an excellent tour guide taking us to some of the "back" areas of the quarter. It was sprinkled with visits classic places, the cemetery and places with AC to keep us cool, a water stop and some off beat stops for flavor.... More

Some friends of mine told us to take this tour because they enjoyed it a lot and they were right! Cindy, our guide, was passionate, with a great knowledge of the city's history and a bit of humour. Besides that, her english is very clear and we didn't miss a word, considering that we are from Spain. We definetely recommend... More

I love this tour! So interesting and informative! New Orleans is one of my favorite cities and I visit often. My daughter in law had never been there before and I chose this tour because I had taken it before and learned so much. She loved it too! Affordable, interesting, and different, one of the best tours in New Orleans.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
