Capitol Square is a great area to just wander around - check out the shops, wander through the capitol itself, and just enjoy being in Madison. It definitely has a 'small-town' feel, with friendly people. Was very surprised we could just walk into the capitol...More

Wisconsin’s camp all did not disappoint. We took her three children there and had a great time taking in the architecture and history of Wisconsin and the capital building itself. The staff there was extra helpful to providing information on extra activities to do with...More

Great place to walk during weekend's mornings during summer and fall seasons. If you go on Saturday, the farmers market is an excellent option to spend the free time.

The Square is often a busy place on warm days in the summer, especially mid-day/lunchtime. Go to one of the many food carts, grab some lunch, find a place to sit on a bench or the lawn of the Capitol, and watch the world walk...More

This building looks almost like the Capitol in Washington DC. It is one of the most beautiful Capitols in the Union. The dome has a wonderful painting in the center and is awe inspiring.
