Great museum to visit on a Sunday afternoon. My son really enjoyed the art work and walking around the university. Did I mention it's free, but please donate, and please take change to leave backpacks in storage.

This is a small size museum run by the UW-Madison but has a rich collection of art objects from around the world. Has very old art objects from cradles of civilisation such as India, China, Egypt etc. Runs periodic temporary exhibitions too. Also, has paintings....More

A free museum in the center of the Univ campus. The collection ranges from Dutch masters to contemporary art, sculpture, ceramics and glassware. It is never a disappointment.

This beautiful museum has a varied and impressive collection. It makes a nice stop if you want a break from the hustle and bustle of downtown Madison. Best of all it's free. Oh, don't forget the gift shop...

I accompanied one of my grand daughters on a tour of the Chazen last summer and found it delightful. There is a surprising collection and extremely well displayed. Our docent was well informed and pleasant.

The only expense you may have is paying for parking as admission to the collection is free. It's housed in an impressive and modern building on the campus a couple of blocks from the lake. While the range of the collection is broad I can't...More

The art is displayed in various interlocking rooms, all connected to a central location. Though the pieces generally are not by famous artists, there is still a wide representation of eras and themes. Since the museum is totally free, visitors can stay for whatever length...More

Very nice collection of art. If you need to get in out of the cold or heat this is a beautiful place to relax in. Plenty of benches to sit and contemplate the pieces of work.
